L’enfance du Christ <French> / The Childhood of Christ (1855) is an oratorio by Hector Berlioz (mus.).

Premiered with great success at the Salle Herz in Paris, France, on 10 December 1855.

Abstract

“Trilogie sacrée,” for solo voices, chorus and orchestra. Describes the attempt by Herod to kill Jesus and the flight of the Holy Family to Egypt.
