Gabriele Boccaccini (b.1958) is an Italian-born American scholar, at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor MI), USA.

Biography

Born in 1958 in Florence, Italy. Laurea (1983) in Early Christianity at the University of Florence, Italy. PhD (1991) in Judaic Studies at the University of Turin, Italy (where he studied with Paolo Sacchi). Professor of Second Temple Judaism and Christian Origins at the Dept. of Near Eastern Studies of the University of Michigan (1992-). Founder and director of the Enoch Seminar (2001-). Editor-in-chief of the journal Henoch (2005-) and of 4 Enoch: The Online Encyclopedia of Second Temple Judaism (2009-).
