The Holy Bible: Containing the Old and New Covenant, Commonly Called the Old and New Testament (1808) is a book by Charles Thompson.

Abstract

This edition of the English Bible provided the first translation of the Septuagint in a modern language. Did not include the OT Apocrypha, being limited to the canonical texts of the Hebrew Bible.

Editions

Published in Philadelphia, PA: Jane Aitken, <4 vols.> 1808. Thompson's translation of the Septuagint has been edited and reprinted by Samuel Frederick Pells in 1904 and Charles Musès in 1954:
