James C. VanderKam (b.1946) is an American scholar, at the University of Notre Dame (Notre Dame, IN), USA. PhD 1976 (Harvard University). Professor of Religion at North Carolina State University, 1976-91. Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame from 1991. Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Biblical Literature. Member of the Enoch Seminar and of the journal Henoch.
