Jean (John) Gagnier (1670c-1740) was a French scholar, active mostly in England.

Biography

Jean Gagnier was born in Paris around 1670. He studied at the College of Navarre where he learned Hebrew and Arabic.

After moving to England he taught Hebrew and Arabic at the University of Oxford.
