Life of Jesus refers to literary and scholarly narratives exploring the life and biography of Jesus of Nazareth.

Overview

The Gospels and/or early Christian traditions provide detail narratives about the life of Jesus of Nazareth, from the Nativity of Jesus, to Jesus' Hidden Years, the Ministry of Jesus, the Passion of Jesus, the Resurrection of Jesus, even the Relics of Jesus.

In modern times there have been many attempts to scholarly or fictional reconstruction of the life of Jesus, in scholarship (see Historical Jesus as well as in literature, music, cinema, theatre and the arts (see Jesus of Nazareth (arts)).

Cinema in particular has provided a powerful means to popularize such narratives. Films such as From the Manger to the Cross, The King of Kings, King of Kings, Jesus Christ Superstar, Jesus of Nazareth have shaped the way in which contemporary people "imagine" Jesus as a tall, long-hair, blue-eyes, Swedish-like man.
