La dernière tribu <French> / The Last Tribe (2004) is a novel by Eliette Abécassis.
Abstract
The novel explores the roots of Judaism and Buddhism to offer a thriller with historical and spiritual connotations.
The mummified remains of a man killed two thousand years ago are discovered in a shrine outside Kyoto. The body, which has been strangely deTíbet transported to Japan, holds in his hand a fragment of a Hebrew manuscript. Ary Cohen, a prominent archaeologist and knows first hand of the manuscripts found at Qumran, will be responsible for investigating the case. It is expected that their academic training allows you to decipher the text found beside the body and that it contributes to clarifying the reasons for the murder.
