- Died in battle against the Seleucids, but saved the kingdom from invasion
- Rabbel I, 85-84 BCE
- Aretas III Philhellenos, 84 to 62 BCE
- Was the son of Obodas I
- Conquered Damascus from the Seleucids.
- Defeated by Tigranes the Great, lost briefly control of Damascus, 72-69 BCE.
