Bruce M. Metzger (1914-2007) was an American scholar.
Biography
Biblical scholar. Professor at Princeton Theological Seminary for more than 40 years. Chair of the Committee of Translators for the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible. Specialist of Greek, New Testament and Old Testament. His major contribution to Second Temple Judaism was in the subfield of OT Apocrypha.
