Overview
Jews, Christians, and Muslims in Slovakia
Christianity arrived in Slovakia in the 9th century. The first groups of Jews also came in the following centuries. For a short period, between the 16th and the 17th century, some part of Slovakia were ruled by the Ottoman Empire, but the Muslim presence vanished by the end of the 17th century.
Contemporary times
