The Hasmoneans / House of Hasmoneus / Sons of Hasmoneus were a dynasty of High Priests and Kings (the House of Hasmoneus) who ruled Judea and the Temple of Jerusalem, in the period following the Maccabean revolt to the early Herodian period.
