Robert Henry Pfeiffer (1892-1958) was an American scholar. Born and raised in Bologna, Italy. Studied at the Universities of Berlin and Tübingen in Germany (1913–14) and at the University of Geneva in Switzerland (1915). Received his MA (1920) and PhD (1922) from Harvard University.
