He was an assistant and lecturer at the Faculty of Catholic Theology of Strasbourg (1971-1980) and Professor of New Testament from 1980 to 2004.  Since then, he has been a professor emeritus.

He completed degrees in theological studies in Strasbourg (1959 - 1966), the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome (1968-70) and the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusaelm (1970-1971). Jacques Schlosser (b.1939) is a French scholar. Born April 23, 1939 in Lembach, Bas-Rhin, France, he completed degrees in theological studies in Strasbourg (1959 - 1966), the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome (1968-70) and the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusaelm (1970-1971). He was an assistant and lecturer at the Faculty of Catholic Theology of Strasbourg (1971-1980) and Professor of New Testament from 1980 to 2004. Since then, he has been a professor emeritus.
