{de} Emil und die Detektive / {en} Emil and the Detectives [1] (Germany, 1954), directed by Robert A. Stemmle, starring Heli Finkenzeller, Wolfgang Lukschy and Kurt Meisel.
Emil goes to Berlin to see his grandmother with a large amount of money and is offered sweets by a strange man that make him sleep. He wakes up at his stop with no money. It is up to him and a group of children to save the day.
It is a remake of the 1931 film of the same name which was based on a 1929 novel by Erich Kästner. Unlike the earlier version which was set during the Great Depression, this film was made with Eastmancolor and portrays West Berlin during the economic miracle.
