{en} The Amos 'n Andy Show [1] [2] (TV series, USA, 1951-55), directed by Charles Barton, starring Alvin Childress (Amos) & Spencer Williams (Andy), with Tim Moore, Johnny Lee, Ernestine Wade. <CBS, 4 seasons, 78 episodes>

Stories mostly centered on The Kingfish's schemes to get rich, often by duping his brothers in the Mystic Knights of the Sea Lodge. Andy was particularly dupable. Amos mostly narrated.

Born as a radio show, the program is notable for being the first (highly stereotypical) African American sitcom. Although the show was officially cancelled in 1953, new episodes were produced and aired in 1953-55.
