{en} Huckleberry Finn [1] [2] (USA, 1920), directed by William Desmond Taylor, starring Lewis Sargent (Huck), Gordon Griffith (Tom), Thelma Salter (Becky), and George H. Reed (Jim).
Huck Finn seeks freedom with runaway slave Jim, and finds adventure with Tom Sawyer, in this film version of Mark Twain's classic novel directed by William Desmond Taylor.
It was the first version of the story entirely entrusted to a youth cast. Also one of the first Hollywood movies ever to offer a prominent part to an African-American actor.
