Biography
Jehoszua (Segal) Cygelfarb was born in 1926 in Lodz, Poland.
During the German occupation, the family was forced to live in the Piotrkow Ghetto. He worked there with his older brother at the Hortensia factory. They were then transferred to KZ Czestochowa, Buchenwald, and Nordhausen.
After liberation, Segal went to Prague to look for his family. Finding none he registered at a Jewish orphanage.
In August 1945 he joined the Windermere Children in their journey to England.
In 1947 he moved to Canada, where he lived in Toronto.
