== Overview ==
In territories still under the control of the Third Reich, Jewish babies were born in hiding or in captivity. The approach of the liberating armies in some cases resulted in the murder of the few remaining Jews, in other cases produced a relaxation in the norm that all newborns had to be killed (at least 2 Jewish babies were found alive in [[Auschwitz]], 3 in [[Mauthausen]], 7 in [[Dachau]], several in [[Bergen-Belsen]]...).

Overview

In territories still under the control of the Third Reich, Jewish babies were born in hiding or in captivity. The approach of the liberating armies in some cases resulted in the murder of the few remaining Jews, in other cases produced a relaxation in the norm that all newborns had to be killed (at least 2 Jewish babies were found alive in Auschwitz, 3 in Mauthausen, 7 in Dachau, several in Bergen-Belsen...).
