NOTES : Alicia Weinsberg was born Alicja Fajnsztejn on 3 Oct. 1929 in Warsaw, Poland, to Izaak and Malka Fajnsztejn. In Oct. 1940 Alicja, her parents, and younger sister, Zofja, entered the Warsaw ghetto where Alicja and her mother worked at the Toebbens factory. Zofja went into hiding with family friends, Jozef and Helena Biczyk, and eventually the rest of the family joined her. After liberation in 1945, the Fajnsztejn family left Poland with the help of Bricha and traveled to the American zone in Germany where they lived for the next few years in the Foehrenwald DP camp

Alicia Weinsberg was born Alicja Fajnsztejn on 3 Oct. 1929 in Warsaw, Poland, to Izaak and Malka Fajnsztejn. In Oct. 1940 Alicja, her parents, and younger sister, Zofja, entered the Warsaw ghetto where Alicja and her mother worked at the Toebbens factory.
