  • MEMOIRS : The Children Accuse (1946), 134-136

Biography

Tema Kaplan was born 1928 in Knyszyn, Poland. From the summer 1942 he was in the run with his parents. They survived in the woods and in hide-outs prepared for them by some farmers in constant fear for their safety.

"German murderers and Poles were standing all around ... I said to my mother and father: 'Have I sinned so badly?'"
