Matthias Henze (b.1965) is a German American scholar, at Rice University (Houston, TX), USA. PhD (1997) in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, at Harvard University. Chair in Biblical Studies and Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the Dept. of Religious Studies at Rice University. Member of the Board of Directors of the Enoch Seminar, and Chair of the Sixth Enoch Seminar (Milan, Italy; June 26-30, 2011).
