Jesus Christ Superstar (2000) is a video recording of Jesus Christ Superstar (1970 Webber / Rice), opera, directed by Gale Edwards, with Simon Lee (conductor).

Abstract

The style of this video production of Jesus Christ Superstar is more like the stage version than the location-based 1973 adaptation. It used many of the ideas from the 1996–1999 UK production by the same director. It won the International Emmy Award for Best Performing Arts Film in November 2001.
