Stories from the Life of John the Baptist (1490) is a cycle of frescoes by Domenico Ghirlandaio, at Tornabuoni Chapel, Santa Maria Novella, Florence, Italy.

Overview

The eight frescoes with Stories from the Life of John the Baptist were made to decorate the right wall of the Tornabuoni Chapel, the main chapel in the church of Santa Maria Novella, Florence [Italy]. The left wall was decorated with Stories from the Life of Mary (1490 Ghirlandaio), art. The entire cycle of frescoes is well-preserved in its original location.
