Jesus Christ Superstar (2000) is a filmization of Jesus Christ Superstar (1971 Webber / Rice), opera, directed by Gale Edwards and conducted by Simon Lee.
Abstract
A video production of Jesus Christ Superstar, based on the 1996 London / 2000 Broadway stage production of the 1971 opera. Starring Glenn Carter as Jesus and Jerome Pradon as Judas.

Produced in Great Britain (2000). Released in 2000 (United Kingdom, Netherlands) and in 2001 (United States, Sweden). Broadcast in the United States on PBS (11 April 2001).
