Natürliche Geschichte des grossen Propheten von Nazareth (1800-1802) is a novel by Karl Heinrich Venturini.

Abstract

Similarly to Ausfuhrung des Plans und Zwecks Jesu (1784-1792 Bahrdt), book, Venturini claimed that Jesus was a member of the secret society of the Essenes. He grew up with them and was trained in his youth as a healer. He was not expected, however, to survive the crucifixion, but he did. A member of the sect heard his groans from the tomb and rescued him. After "appearing" to his disciples, Jesus later lived in seclusion.
