The category: Israeli, highlights the national or linguistic identity of people, associated with the State of Israel and Hebrew language and culture.

Overview

The Israelis are the citizens of modern Israel (circa 8.5 million). They are predominantly Jewish (with a significant Arabic minority). They primarily speak the Hebrew language (or the Arabic language).

Most Israelis today live within the borders of independent Israel (circa 8 million). There is a sizeable population of Israelis living in the United States and smaller groups in other countries.
