The Jewish World in the Time of Jesus (1959) is the American edition of Le monde juif vers le temps de Jésus (1935 Guignebert), book. Translated by Samuel Henry Hooke from the French.

Abstract

The work had been already translated and published in England in 1939. The success, however, came with the American edition in 1959.
