Svetu Pismu Stariga (Nouiga) Testamenta <Slovenian> / Biblia sacra Veteris (Novi) Testamenti <Latin> / Holy Books of the Old (and New) Testament (1784-86) is a book by Jurij Japelj and Blaž Kumerdej.

Abstract

"Biblia Sacra Veteris (Novi) Testamenti, adprobatione ... Michaelis ... primi Archiepiscopi Labac ... in Slavo-Carniolicum idioma translata per G. Japel ... et B. Kumerdey (pars prima; per G. Japel, pars secunda: per M. Schrey, Libri Regum: per J. Richer ... et M. Schrey, pars tertia: per A. Traun, Liber psalmorum: per J. Schkriner, libri sapientiales; Isaias, et Jeremias: per M. Wolff, Baruch, Ezekiel & Daniel: per J. Schkriner ... et J. Richer, minores prophetæ et libri Machabæorum: per G. Japel ... et B. Kumerdey, pars prima, editio secunda: pars secunda [of New Testament, also the second edition])."

This Catholic translation of the whole Bible into Slovenian was based on the Vulgata. The Old Testament (including the OT Apocrypha) was the work of a team lead by Jurij Japelj, which included Modest Schrey, Jozef Richer, Anton Traun, Jozef Skriner and Mateuz Wolff. The New Testament was the second edition of the translation published in 1784-86 by Jurij Japelj and Blaž Kumerdej.
