Sergio Della Pergola (M / Italy, 1942), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Sergio Della Pergola (Trieste, 7 Sep 1942) was the son of Massimo Della Pergola and Adele Pinto. He went to Switzerland illegally with his parents.

"Adelina Pinto Della Pergola riuscì a farsi accogliere [in Svizzea] con il marito, Massimo, e il figlioletto, Sergio, perché era il giorno di Natale" (Picciotto, Salvarsi, 134).

After the war, the family settled in Milan where Della Pergola was an active member of Jewish youth movements and student organizations. He immigrated to Israel in 1966 and became a university professor of Statistics.. See wikipedia.en.
