Biography

Renata Trau was born in Pszemylsl, Poland in 1934, to Leon and Golda. She survived the liquidation of the Pszemylsl Ghetto and remained hidden with her father in the "Aryan side" at a Polish lady's until the Red Army arrived. Mother and sister were shot in the ghetto. Liberated by the Red Army.

During the liquidation actions VII - IX.1943, she hid in a tiny pantry in the ghetto, in a hiding place in the attic and at a Polish friend's house.
