Biography

Isacco Cohen (1930), Mosè Cohen (1931), Sion Cohen (1932), Nissim Cohen (1936), and Sofia Cohen (1939) were born in Bengasi, Libya, to Salomone Cohen and Rachele Taiar. In January 1942 the family was interned in Italy at Bagno a Ripoli (near Florence), and in March 1943 at Bazzano (near Bologna). They were arrested on Sep 29, 1943 and deported to Reichenau (Austria) in January 1944. In April 1944 they were transferred to Vettel (France), where they remained until liberation.
