Kalman Schulman (1819-1899) was a Belarusian Jewish writer and leader of the Haskalah movement in Russia. He studied at the Volozhin yeshiva for about six years, subsequently learning German. In 1843 he settled in Vilna, Lithuania. From 1849 to 1861, he taught Hebrew language and literature at the secondary school connected to the state rabbinical seminary. Published several books in Hebrew, popularizing history, geography, and ethnography, both general and Jewish.
