Joonase lähetamine <Estonian> / Jonah’s Mission (1907) is an oratorio by Rudolf Tobias (mus.).
Abstract
Rudolf Tobias’s oratorio Joonase lähetamine ("Jonah’s Mission"), later named Joonas ("Jonah"), is a landmark of Estonian classic music via the Vardo Rumessen’s version.

The German revised ed. was completed by the composer in 1909 and first performed in Leipzig, Germany the same year. In 1986-89 Vardo Rumessen reconstruct the score and the oratorio was performed again on 25 May 1989 in the Estonia Concert Hall. It was first recorded in 1995.
