Biography
Issac "Peter" Brandstein was born in 1929 in Bustina, Ruthenia, Slovakia (now Ukraine), to Eugene and Rosa.
The family was deported to Auschwitz. Isaac was the only to survive. He was transferred to Magdeburg and Bergen-Belsen, where he was liberated.
After the war, he was among the Belgicka Children who were brought to England in March 1946.
He was never fully able to recover from the traumas of the war. Spent his entire life in England.
