Ignatz Spett / Edward Spett (M / Poland, 1928), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Edward Spett was born 2 June 1928 in Oświęcim, Poland as Ignatz Spett. He survived the ghetto in Sosnowiec and concentration camps Blechhammer, Sakrau, Ohrdruf, Gräditz, Faulbrück, Gross Rosen, Klettendorf, and Buchenwald. His interview was recorded in 1996 in Wyckoff, NJ, USA.

He was one the child Holocaust survivors at Buchenwald and was among the 427 children brought to France from Buchenwald.
