Biography

Fryda Koch was born in Drohobycz, Poland on Sept 12, 1932. She survived the liquidation of the Boryslaw Ghetto and remained hidden in the "Aryan side" until the Red Army arrived.

"Pogrom actions in Borysław. Shooting the Jewish population, plundering property, round-ups, deportations. Hideouts in forests near Borysław. The so-called forest commission, arranging escaped Jews in the bunkers. Transports from Borysław to Płaszów and Auschwitz. During the liquidation action, the author hid in the furnace and lived to see the liberation in Borysław thanks to the help of Poles."
