Codes pseudepigraphus Veteris Testamenti (1713-23) is a book by Johann Albert Fabricius.

Abstract

The first collection of Old Testament Pseudepigrapha contains Greek and Latin texts "attributed to ancient Patriarchs." Fabricius followed the same order as Sgambati (1703) but included only non-canonical material.

Fabricius thus explained the goal of the collection: "I present this material, not because I am fascinated by those stories, or approve those lies, but because I believe that the best way to reject and refute them is to present them all together in order to expose them to contempt."

The chapter of "Enoch" (pages 166-223) contains all primary and secondary sources available in the West at the time, starting from the quotations in the Letter of Jude, the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs and the Church Fathers (Iraeneus, Tertulllan, Origin, etc.), followed by the Enoch Fragments of Syncellus (Greek text & Latin translation), up to the references in the modern commentaries.
