Eva Tanguay (1878-1947) was a Canadian vaudeville dancer. Born in Marbleton, Quebec, Tanguay started her career as a child actress and then a dancer. She went on to have a long-lasting vaudeville career as one of the most successful performers of her time. In 1908 she joined the "Salomania" of those years as the protagonist of one of the most popular solo performances of the Dance of the Seven Veils. After her retirement in the 1930s, she settled in California, where she died in 1947 (aged 68).
