Biography

Eryk Holder was born in February 1937 in Poland. He survived the massacres of the Stanislawow Ghetto. Short before the ghetto was liquidated, his father had him taken into a non-Jewish family, where he remained in hiding until the end of the war. He gave his testimony in 1945 and again in 1998 in Israel, where he emigrated after the war.

"An 8-year-old boy's account of the events in Stanisławów after the Germans took over the city. Establishing a ghetto, shooting Jews in the cemetery, throwing live children into graves. After the loss of his parents, he was hidden by a Pole - Łopatyński. After the war, the boy was taken by the Jewish Helman family, who gave Eryk Holder to the Jewish Orphanage in Przemyśl."
