Die paulinische Rechtfertigungslehre <German> (1853) is an book by Richard Adalbert Lipsius.

Abstract

Lipsius was the first to recognize and attempt to understand equally two trains of the thought in Paulinism, the legalistic and the ethical, the one based upon the juridical idea of justification, the other upon the conception of sanctification. As opposed to previous Pauline scholars, Lipsius does not focus on one aspect while ignoring the other, but attempts to show how Paul combined both of these elements.
