Annia Shlenkovitz / Hannah Eden (F/ Poland, 1933), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Hannah Eden was born in Plinycha, Poland, in July 1933. Her name was Annia Shlenkovitz. Her parents where Peretz and Zviya Shlenkovitz, and she has a five-year-older brother named Moshe.

They had a good life in Plinycha. After the Germans came, they fled to Russia.

After her father died due to the difficult conditions, mother put her in an orphanage, and at the end of the war went back to pick her up and together they returned to Poland.

As none of their relatives survived, they moved to Germany. Mother met a new partner. Hannah decided to immigrate to Israel and went to Selvino in Italy,where whe remained for about two years.

In this group was also Chaim Possorsky who later became her friend and then her husband in 1951.
