Biography

Alda Cohen (1 Jan 1939) and Ester Cohen (1 Jan 1940) were the daughters of Elia Cohen and Heria Alfon. They were born in Benghasi, Libya. The family was deported to Italy in April 1942 and interned at Modena (loc. Nonantola). The family joined the Nonantola Children and on 4 Feb 1944 escaped with them to Switzerland.
