Harry Austryn Wolfson (1887-1974) was a Lithuanian-born American Jewish scholar.

Biography

Born in Lithuania, moved to America in 1903. PhD (1915) at Harvard University, where he spent his entire academic career, becoming in 1925 the first scholar in any American university to occupy a chair devoted solely to Jewish studies. Devoted his life to the study of the foundations of Jewish, Christian and Islamic philosophy.
