Malthace (1st century BCE) was one of the wives of Herod the Great and the mother of Herod Archelaus, Herod Antipas and Olympias.

Overview

Malthace was a Samaritan woman. She was the fourth wife of Herod the Great and the mother of Herod Antipas and Herod Archelaus and Olympias.

She died in 4 BCE in Rome, while her sons Herod Archelaus and Herod Antipas were disputing the will of their father before the emperor Augustus.
