Megillat Taanit is an early Jewish text.
Overview
The Megillat Taanit is an Aramaic text that lists 35 eventful days on which the Jewish nation either performed glorious deeds or witnessed joyful events. The text was apparently composed in the first century CE with some 2nd century additions.
Much later, not before the 7th century, a Hebrew commentary was added. While recognizing the antiquity of the Megillat Taanit, the Scoliast aimed to harmonize its data with the Talmudic tradition.
