Jesus at Nazareth refers to the time in which according to Christian tradition, Jesus lived as a child with his parents in the village of Nazareth in Galilee.

Overview

All sources seems to agree that Jesus grew up in Nazareth, which is consistently indicated as Jesus' hometown.

The Gospel of Luke is the only early Christian narratives to allude briefly to this period of Jesus' childhood.

Later Christian tradition would develop more detailed stories about the everyday life of Jesus in his parents' house.

Modern legends about Jesus' childhood include a supposed trip to India or his permanence at Qumran.
