Maurice Ghnassia (1920-2003) is an American novelist.
Biography
Maurice Ghnassia was born in Paris, France on July 23, 1920.
An ardent French patriot, during WW2 he had an active role in the French Resistance in Paris and Lyon under the code name Spartacus.
After the War he worked as a journalist and correspondent to the United Nations and White House for the French press. He later became professor of Western Heritage at the University of Hartford until his retirement in 2000.
Ghnassia died January 4, 2003 in Cullowhee, NC.
