Robert M. Price (b.1954) is an American theologian.

Biography

Robert M. Price was born on July 7, 1954 in Jackson, Mississippi.

He studied at Montclair State University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Drew University, where he graduated in Theology (1981) and New Testament (1993).

He advocates a radical, skeptical position in the study of the Historical Jesus. In his view, the gospel narratives (including Q) are totally unreliable from the historical point of view. The Jesus we know is a mythical figure created by early Christians by adopting popular myths and legends of the time.
