Alfred W. Anthony (1860–1939) was an American scholar.

Biography

Anthony Williams Anthony was born in Providence, RI on January 13, 1860.

He graduated from Brown University in 1883 and Cobb Divinity School in 1885.

He was Professor of Religion at Cobb Divinity School (1887-1908) and Bates College (1908-1911).

Anthony died on January 20, 1939.
