Atticus G. Haygood (1839-1896) was an American scholar.

Biography

Atticus Greene Haygood was born on November 19, 1839, in Watkinsville.

He was a president of Emory College (1875-84) and a progressive bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South.

He died in Oxford, GA in 1896.
